A few weeks ago we had a little trip to Vanuatu here is the story
(I will be posting images and stories for the next few weeks)
The first day
We arrived in Vanuatu early evening it was getting dark when we got off the plain. Steeping out of the plain you were hit with nice warm tropical air which was so refreshing after coming from Tasmania where it was getting very cold.
The airport was small and their was two lines, one for residents and the other of visitors we had to line up to get our papers stamped, then we were off to get our luggage and go through customs. Once we got out of the airport we were out the door to grab a taxi to our hotel room.
The drive to our hotel was quick and we saw a lot of people walking along the streets, with in a few minutes we arrived at our hotel, we are staying on the waterfront and our hotel is a small boutique style accommodation.

First few days in paradise
Our first few days in Vanuatu revolved around walking into Port Villa, looking and planning our trip for the few weeks and trying some of the food and hunting down a good cup of coffee. We found a cool restaurant that was on the waterfront and this became our regular coffee spot. We found Port Villa to be a nice small town where it was easy to get around and the locals were so friendly.
The Purple Finch has a wonderful new home at The Mill Provider + Gallery this is where you will find some of our delightful wooden earrings. Thanks to the lovely Becky for taking on board our product range.
The Mill also stocks a variety of wholesome foods and chocolates (they have some lovely chocolates from Cocobean which I will have to say are my fav).
Last weekend it was our wedding anniversary and every year we head down to Coles Bay. This year the weather was fine and the sun was shining which made the days all that more fun.
We had a lovely stay at Hazard Hideaway which is a exclusive waterfront hideaway hidden away on Coles Bay, from the bedroom, lounge and kitchen we had superb water front views, what more could you ask for.
Waking up in the morning listening to the waves crash and having a first class view of the bay.
Our few days away was full of having some lazy time in front of the fire, reading books on the bench out side the room with the water just inches from our feet, and lots of delicious chocolate, and yummy food.
and finally some picture taking on our anniversary, thanks husband of the lovely pictures.
Last weekend The Purple Finch products were modelled by the lovely Megan. On Saturday morning I was a bit unsure if the shoot would go ahead it was a bit of a miserable day, but luckily the weather held up and I was able to snap some lovely shoots
Here is a little view of the shoot hope that you like it

I have had this ring for a long time my dad has a stone cutting hobby and has cut many gemstones, this one he made for my mum when they first got together.
My mum gave me this ring a while back and its one of many beautiful fine jewellery pieces that I have in my collection. I don’t really ware many of my other rings because they don’t really go with my beautify wedding bands which is very Victorian inspired.
I have a massive love of Victorian jewellery and fashion, just recently I decided to get an idea that I had in my head and transform it into some lovely pieces
Here is a little sneak peek at a few pieces which is part of a Victorian inspired collection
