Yummy Quince Cake

On Sunday afternoon we went for a drive to Deloraine for afternoon tea at Tara’s place, there were cups of lemon myrtle early gray tea and white rose tea. Lush servings of soft centred chocolate brownies and home made quince cake.

There was lost of tea drinking chatting and laughing in the dining room in front of a raring warm fire. A grate way to spend a Sunday afternoon thanks Tara for the lovely quince cake and the tips on how to cook a quince.

Tara is also a very talented designer check out her blog her with details of her work.

All image take by my Husband I was far too busy chatting and drinking tea to snap any shots

Anniversary

Last weekend it was our wedding anniversary and every year we head down to Coles Bay. This year the weather was fine and the sun was shining which made the days all that more fun.

We had a lovely stay at Hazard Hideaway which is a exclusive waterfront hideaway hidden away on Coles Bay, from the bedroom, lounge and kitchen we had superb water front views, what more could you ask for.

Waking up in the morning listening to the waves crash and having a first class view of the bay.

Our few days away was full of having some lazy time in front of the fire, reading books on the bench out side the room with the water just inches from our feet, and lots of delicious chocolate, and yummy food.

and finally some picture taking on our anniversary, thanks
husband of the lovely pictures.

Lazy Sundays

Sunday was my day off, the week before last I managed to clock up a bit over 42 hours for one uni subject + doing a bit of work as well so basically I was very warn out, our project team had 7 major documents to complete for a massive assessment it was just full on. So I decided that this weekend I would take the Sunday off.

Sunday started with a massive sleep in well until 10am, we got ready and went for a drive to Deviot I heard that there was a market going on. When we arrived there were lots of cars and people but I think we arrived a little too late in the arvo.

After a little walk around we decided that lunch was the thing to do so we drove up the street to a little Greek café, the views over the river was nice. Lunch was ok we ordered a taste plate with dips, bread, spinach and fetta pie, smoked salmon, cheese among other things. A lot of what was on the taste plate I was unable to eat, so no salmon for me, or the fetta or one of the dips coz I was unsure if it had eggs in it, and I really did not like the deep fried cheese not really my thing.

We then jumped back into the car and drove down the river a little more to Strathlynn for a hot drink, the views were beautiful and there was a quince pudding on the menu so we just had to try it. I will have to say that the pudding was super yummy.

when we arrived home we decided that no work should be done for the rest of the night so movies it was with some air popped popcorn, I don’t really like the microwave stuff far too much butter and salt.

The Purple FInch - now Stocked at Content.

Today I was able to drop off a stack of earrings from the bubble gum range into Content at 63a Brisbane Street Launceston . These are cute earrings that come in a range of bright and deep colours that can be worn with any outfit. What better way to compliment an outfit than with a pair of eye-catching earrings?
Also, a massive thankyou to Min from Content for taking on these products. :)
